WELCOME! I hope you are excited about being apart of the DERBY CITY THUNDER FOOTBALL & SPORTS PROGRAM as we the executive board are. We would like to say thanks for coming. We all are concerned about the up coming season and the production of a winning season. Though we all like to be winners, having fun and enjoying what you do is also apart of our program. Our main focus is to produce a winning program and to achieve it; we all must have Total Commitment , from the Coaching staff to the Water boy .
DERBY CITY THUNDER FOOTBALL & SPORTS was formed in 2004 on the principals of Sportsmanship, Unity and Community . The founders had a vision of building a better and more organized football program. They also wanted to provide the city with entertainment while giving area men an opportunity to continue their football career under a NFL style program.
An Executive Board runs DERBY CITY THUNDER & SPORTS CLUB, INC. Membership fee, fundraisers and sponsorship pay for all activities. The Executive Board's goal is to have travel and lodging expense free to all team members. This goal is obtainable if we all work toward it. We are also concern with keeping a positive image in the community and role molding for DERBY CITY youth.
The COACHING STAFF is comprised of local community orientated men who have many years of EXPERIENCE in playing and coaching football.

The Community Relations department of the Derby City Thunder Football & Sports Club Inc genuinely cares about the Louisville metro community. Through the organization's support of various charities, causes, and events throughout the area, we hope to display our dedication to making our community a better place for everyone. The Thunder realizes the responsibility they have of showing sensitivity and kindness to those that are less fortunate. That's why whether a group of our players are signing autographs for children, speaking at schools about the importance of education, or making a sick child in the hospital smile through a visit, the Thunder always has their eyes on the goal more important than the goal of any football game; making a difference in the lives of others.
The Derby City Thunder Football & Sports Club Inc serves the Louisville metro community with pride and passion as a quality example of individual and team excellence on the field and within the community by consistently exceeding our fans' expectations by demonstrating the highest character, appreciation and respect for our game, fans, teammates and partners as a cost-effective and visionary organization providing a total entertainment experience.
